Subject : Applying for a Yacht
licence and renewal of licence sailing in the area of Myeik
archipelago region.
- Under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels and
Tourism, the Directorate of Hotels & Tourism has issued
the tourist transport licence to the local and foreign
sailing Yacht companies . In this regard ,all foreign
sailing Yacht companies shall have to pay the licence
fee both new or renewal licence fee and promotion fund
in US Dollar only.
- While applying for the renewal of licence or
submiting monthly report to the Departments concerned ,
statements regarding annual performance of each sailing
Yacht which include amounts of tour trips passangers
operated within licenced period and income with sale
contracts shall be attached with the report.
- For your information , licence fee,Royalty fee and
promotion fund will be increased in 2007-2008 tour
season which will effect on the date of October 1st 2007
are stated as follows:

extend for the renewal of yacht licence
1. Under the supervision of the
Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the Directorate of
Hotels & Tourism has issued the tourist transport
licence to local and foreign sailing Yacht Companies. We
have already issued licences to (53) Yacht Companies to
sail around the area of Myeik Archipelago, up to the
date of 30th April, 2007.
2. But we have noticed that , 24
Yacht Companies had failed to renew license and all
these companines’ license were invalid .The names of
these Companies are attached. Therefore all these
companies will need to apply for the renewal of license
within 31st May, 2007. Any license which has not been
applied for renewal of license will be cancelled after
the announcement.
